About Me!

Bio and Mission Statement
Through Sol Healings Center, I bring together a very unique combination of skills and knowledge. Drawing from over two decades of work and training in the healing arts, I incorporate a broad and deep understanding of ayurvedic treatments, massage therapy, life coaching, and creative expression into my work. I co-design truly individuated and life transformative opportunities for my clients.
After graduating from Naropa University with a degree in environmental studies, I immediately began pursuing trainings and experiences to develop my mastery in the healing arts. In 2001, I attended and completed Boulder College of Massage Therapy’s intensive 1000-hour certification program. In 2002, I began my studies in Ayurveda at the Art of Living Center outside of Montreal, Quebec. Over the next decade, during extended visits at this center, I learned extensively about Ayurvedic practical application, philosophy, and bodywork. I also went on to train others in abhyanga (Ayurvedic massage), Ayurvedic philosophy, and other aspects of Ayurvedic knowledge. Over the years, I completed numerous trainings and work in meditation instruction, life coaching and Life Alignment. I have also worked in education as a stress management intervention specialist in high schools as well as both a public and Waldorf school teacher (all of which offered me greater insights about human development). Recognizing that creativity can be a powerfully transformative support in the healing process, I have benefitted from numerous art forms (from spoken word poetry to mosaics) to help me channel my energies and help others channel their faculties.
Alongside all this, I have written two fiction novels (Santa Cruz Mumbai and Mud and Sand), sold my visual art, and taught courses on accessing creativity. Since 1994, I am grateful to have been practicing Art of Living’s breathing and meditation practices.
